Itauma vs Franklin Odds: Who Is Favourite to Win?
Itauma is the favourite (as per usual) and the odds make that unavoidable. He is currently priced around 1/20 with most bookmakers, with Franklin available at approximately 10/1 and the draw at 25/1. A 21-year-old with 11 knockouts in 13 fights — nine of his last opponents never heard the final bell — facing a man who has lost twice on points in the UK is not in the competitive market. But the odds do not quite capture the jeopardy Franklin offers. He has never been stopped as a professional, went the distance with both Whyte and Joshua on British soil, and arrives on the back of three consecutive wins. The Split Decision’s Prediction
The tactical keys here are straightforward: Franklin has never been knocked out early, if he can sustain Itauma and drag him into the later rounds it is his only chance. Itauma has never been dragged into the championship rounds so there is no data to make a guess here but is better than trying to fight him in the earlier rounds as Whyte found out. We also don’t know the extent of the injury sustained, causing the postponement of their scheduled bout in January.
Itauma needs to do what he always does — use the southpaw angles, control range with the jab, and accumulate damage until the stoppage arrives. Franklin’s durability is real, but Whyte, who is a significantly harder puncher than Franklin, was destroyed inside two minutes.
Split Decision backs Moses Itauma to win by TKO, rounds within the first 2 rounds.

Moses Itauma Recent Fights
– W TKO 1 vs Dillian Whyte (16 Aug 2025, ANB Arena, Riyadh) — WBA International, WBO Intercontinental & Commonwealth titles
– W TKO 2 vs Mike Balogun (24 May 2025, SSE Hydro, Glasgow)
– W TKO 1 vs Demsey McKean (21 Dec 2024, Kingdom Arena, Riyadh)
– W TKO 2 vs Mariusz Wach (27 Jul 2024, O2 Arena, London)
Itauma is a finishing machine. Nine of his last opponents have been stopped before the final bell, with none of the last nine getting past the second round. At 6’2½” and fighting out of the southpaw stance with a 78.5-inch reach, he is a nightmare matchup for orthodox heavyweights who struggle with his angles, speed and left-hand power. The Whyte knockout was the marquee moment, a former world title challenger obliterated in under two minutes.
Jermaine Franklin Recent Fights
– W UD 10 vs Ivan Dychko (13 Sep 2025, Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas)
– W TKO 6 vs Devin Vargas (23 May 2024, Wayne State Fieldhouse, Detroit)
– W UD 10 vs Isaac Munoz (15 Jul 2023, Masonic Temple, Detroit)
– L UD 12 vs Anthony Joshua (1 Apr 2023, O2 Arena, London)
– L MD 12 vs Dillian Whyte (26 Nov 2022, Wembley Arena, London)
Franklin’s record of 24-2 deserves honest context. His losses both came on points in the UK against two of the division’s biggest names; a majority decision to Whyte and a unanimous defeat to Joshua. He has never been stopped as a professional, which matters against a fighter whose recent opponents have been finished before they could settle. His win over Dychko — previously unbeaten in 15 — on the Canelo vs Crawford undercard showed he can perform on big nights. He will need Itauma to have an unusually slow start to have a realistic chance.
