Bivol vs Eifert is live on DAZN in the UK, with coverage starting at 4pm BST. Main event ringwalks are currently scheduled for around 6.39pm BST, although timings can change depending on the undercard.

The fight was originally linked to the Usyk vs Verhoeven undercard in Egypt on 23 May before being moved to its own headline card in Russia one week later. Bivol is fighting for the first time since back surgery sidelined him after his February 2025 rematch win over Artur Beterbiev.

Bivol returns after more than 15 months out following back surgery, while Eifert finally gets the title shot he has waited three years to receive. The German has been the IBF mandatory challenger since March 2023, but has had to wait while Bivol fought Artur Beterbiev twice, then recovered from injury.

Bivol is one of only two men to have beaten a reigning undisputed champion in the four-belt era, having defeated Canelo Alvarez at light heavyweight and Artur Beterbiev in their rematch.

That is the company Eifert is walking into. But the German arrives with a mindset that tells you he is not here to make up the numbers.

Speaking after the IBF finally set a firm deadline for Bivol, Eifert said he had used the long wait to develop as a fighter and that he was ready to “shock the world.” Whether he has the tools to back that up against an operator of Bivol’s calibre is the central question of this fight.

How to Watch Bivol vs Eifert in the UK

Bivol vs Eifert will be shown live on DAZN in the UK. Coverage is scheduled to begin at 4pm BST, with the main event ringwalks currently expected at around 6.39pm BST.

That makes this a rare early-evening world title fight for UK viewers rather than a late-night or early-morning card. As always, ringwalk times are approximate and can shift depending on the length of the undercard fights.

Why Is Bivol Fighting Eifert?

Eifert has been the IBF’s mandatory challenger since March 2023, when he beat former champion Jean Pascal in an elimination bout. He waited more than three years for this shot, first while Bivol and Beterbiev negotiated their two superfights, then while Bivol recovered from back surgery.

The IBF eventually ordered the fight. Rather than face a strip, Bivol accepted the mandatory, moving the bout to Russia on a headline card in Yekaterinburg.

Eifert’s only fight in that entire three-year window was a routine stoppage of Carlos Eduardo Jimenez in August 2024. He arrives ring-rusty, but with world title momentum that has been building since 2023.

Are All Bivol’s Belts on the Line?

Not quite. Bivol remains the WBO light heavyweight champion, but the WBO title is not expected to be on the line against Eifert after the organisation declined to sanction the bout in Russia.

That means Bivol’s WBA, IBF and Ring Magazine titles are the main belts at stake on fight night. Some promotional listings have still referred to the WBO belt, but the safer wording is that Bivol is defending his unified light heavyweight titles, with the WBO title not officially at stake.

Bivol vs Eifert Odds: Who Is Favourite to Win?

Bivol is a massive favourite to beat Eifert and retain his titles.

Current odds have Bivol priced at 1/25, with Eifert available at around 15/2. That gives Bivol an implied chance of roughly 96.2%, while Eifert’s price implies around 11.8% before bookmaker margin.

The Split Decision Prediction

The only real X-factor is Bivol’s back and the layoff. If the surgery recovery has gone well and he moves freely, this should be controlled and clinical from round one. Bivol’s feet, timing and distance control are too good for most elite fighters, never mind a mandatory challenger stepping into his first true world-level assignment.

Eifert is not useless. He is organised, disciplined and has earned his route to the title shot. But he has not fought anyone close to Bivol’s level, and his lack of activity makes the task even harder.

If there are lingering physical issues, Eifert’s volume could make parts of the fight competitive. Even then, Bivol’s ring IQ and championship experience should carry him comfortably to the final bell.

Split Decision backs Bivol to win by unanimous decision.
